Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Have a plan!
We watched a Berenstain Bears video on Habit 2.
Students learned that it is important to have a plan so you remember everything
and can make it to your goal.
After watching the video, students posted a reflection on what they learned about Habit 2 from the video and why Habit 2 is important.
Great job!
We finished up a measurement activity where we compared using non-standard measurement.
What is longer?
18 paperclips or 20 unifix cubes
We practiced using the phrase ___ is longer than ___.
This week we learned about a new app called Epic.
Epic is amazing because it creates an individualized library for each student based on interests.
Happy Reading!
4th Grade Buddies!
Our class teamed up with Mrs. Jorjorian's class for a "Choose Your Own Weather" project.
We learned that when we are faced with a challenge (spill on our favorite shirt, running out of our favorite breakfast, etc), we have the choice on how we respond. We can choose to let it ruin our day or think of ways to look on the bright side.
For our weekly reflection, students explored a new app called Chatterpix.
We took a picture of an object in the room, added a line to represent the character's mouth, and recorded our voice as we discussed what we learned this week at school.
When we were done, we uploaded our recording to Seesaw.
We ended our week with a special robotics activity using Sphero.
The students took turns programming Sphero to perform different tasks.
We learned how to use a joystick on the iPad to make Sphero move in different directions.
By the end of our activity, students were trying to solve challenges where we programmed Sphero to land on different colored construction paper pieces in the hallway.
Enjoy the long weekend!
See you Tuesday at Open House.
