We are working on answering questions like Who? What? When? Where? and Why?
after reading our text.
We are working on reading books from our SSR buckets.
As we read, we are working on thinking about our reading and making sure we understand what is going on in the text.
At the assembly led by 2nd Grade, we celebrated Habit 4: Think Win-Win!
We learned how we can feel good helping others and everyone can win.
One of our students was recognized for Habit 4!
We are continuing to practice going back into the text to find the answer. This helps us make sure we are answering comprehension questions accurately. In this activity, we are going back and underlining the evidence in the text with different colored crayons.
Our Guest Reader came in and read a story about a monkey at a movie theatre!
Look closely and you will see a smile on the red apple.
What a way to make everyone smile! :)
Our Leader of the Week read his book to the class!
We ended our week making a choice on how we wanted to present our learning in math this week
(on adding with or without regrouping). We could choose to show our learning on Educreations, Explain Everything, Telestory, Toontastic, or Seesaw.
1st Graders LOVE choice!
