Research, 1st Grade Assembly, and Wacky Wednesday!

Researching Leaders:
We worked in small groups to research examples of how specific leaders
demonstrated leadership characteristics and why they are remembered today.

We explored a wide-range of text to research George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Jane Goodall, William Shakespeare, and William Kamkwamba (from The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind).

We explored a new geoboard app where students can manipulate rubberbands to make shapes.
We used our creativity to design a picture and write a story about our design.
Be sure to check it out on Seesaw!

Mrs. Malek's 3rd Grade Class is working on a kindness project.
Our friend's sister came in to present it to the class.
We will write down random acts of kindness we see during the school day and 3rd grade will collect it and share what they read!

We were busy practicing for our 1st grade assembly on Wednesday.
We presented on Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.
We had to get creative for our microphone during the practice session. :)

It is Wacky Wednesday!
We read some Dr. Seuss books and celebrated his hard work.

Our leader of the week is reading about her adventures with Gummy Bear.

Our leader is also reading a story from home to the class.
We LOVE Pete the Cat!

Our Guest Reader came in to read a book from Dr. Seuss.
We learned that "a person's a person, no matter how small."
