This Week in Room 8 (3/20 to 3/24)

ELA:
This week we will be wrapping up our Leadership Unit and characteristics of a good citizen.

We will be working on these skills:

• Main Idea and supporting details in non-fiction text
• Continued contraction practice
• Possessive pronouns

Word Wall Words:

Writing:

• Opinion writing- write about and explain (using examples from text) why the leader you chose is a strong leader. 

Math:

This week we will continue to work on the following skills:

• Composing 3-D shapes
• Continued work with fractions (dividing a shape into equal parts and dividing a set of objects into equal groups)
• Continued work with telling time (hour, 1/2 hour, quarter-hour, five minutes, to the minute)
