We put our function machines into action with a partner.
Students took turns solving addition and subtraction problems using our cool machines!
We are learning how to peer edit. Students are working together to help one another make sure to have all sentences begin with capital letters, end with punctuation, make sense to the reader, and are easily read by the reader. Way to Synergize!
We LOVE Buddy Reading!
When we read out loud to a partner, we are gaining confidence in reading with expression, good phrasing, and speed. We are also working as an audience to follow along and give feedback.
We had time to share some of our Flat Stanley Projects from Winter Break.
Students could choose to create a poster or create a PicCollage.

We have been super busy learning about place value.
We are learning about writing numbers in standard form, expanded form, and model form.
We are also learning about the difference between the digit and the value of the digit.
